I am following your daily blog with Bloglines since a while & this one is just perfect. Thank you for sharing your "how-to", I learn a lot with them, as olymer clay is new for me. Thans, thanks, thanks.
edith, I will redo all of my tutorial since I just found out about the slide. I think it is easier to look at this way. I hope to get you addicted to Polymer clay just like me. :) Ponsawan
melissa, the trick is to leave them alone for an hour or two, so the clay get firm up and will hold the shape better. Leaving them overnight is an ideal but who could wait that long. LOL I use double point knitting needle size 0000. It glides through the beads pretty good. i just try to poke stright through, then pull the needle out, flip the bead over and poke through the other side.
Love your beads! Did you use a plastic bead shaper? You have given me lots of inspiration as I have just started with polymer. Can't believe how many variations you have made with just a few colours. Many thanks for sharing. Think I will soon become a polymer addict.
Dear beadmad Personally, I do not use and do not like the bead roller, I roll my beads between the palms of my hand and they come out as round as they can be. You will be addicted to clay in no time.... Goodluck. Ponsawan
Every time I see your beads it puts a smile on my face. You get the feeling about how much fun they were to make. The bonus is that they are all great!!
All of the tutorials are free. Some were my own idea, some were inspired by other Artists. If you want to put them somewhere else, please let me know, or just credit me in some way. Thanks. I will start putting more tutorials on my blog. I am still taking care of my daughter but got more time to clay and play. The Polymer Clay community had been given me all the supports I need so I can get through my day. Enjoy the tutorail and there will be more to come.
I started making Polymer clay beads in 2005. I sold my first batch and started sending them out to the bead stores and bead shows. I started a blog to share my experieces with polymer clay and started a tutorial blog to show how I make some of my beads.

I can never make the hole through the bead without ruining it. How do you do it? Is there a special tool I should get?
